This past weekend we played our last two shows as Like Rats From A Sinking Ship. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has listened to our music, danced with us, helped us set up shows, given us food and shelter, and/or in any other way supported us. The last four years wouldn’t have been half as fun or special to us without you.

Every story has a beginning. Our story as a band began in the summer of 2007 when the three of us got together to write our first EP. After four years, countless shows all over Europe, tons of good times, and the release of our first full-length, our story has come to an end.

Ambitions have changed, most of the fun and excitement has left the project, and we have grown in different directions. This is not the end of the world. This is not us quitting music for good. This is just us putting Like Rats to sleep.

Before we move on to other things however, we are doing a last tour of Norway in October/November. We have vinyl of We Get Along Like A House On Fire ready for this run, limited to 300 hand numbered copies. Hope to see you all out there.

The dates for our upcoming European tour are now up! Starts in exactly a week.

In light of last weekends horrible events, the Storås Festival has decided to cancel this years Festival. We fully understand and respect this decision, and our thoughts go out to everyone in any way affected by the tragedy of Oslo and Utøya.

The cat’s out of the bag: We will be playing a club show with American hardcore band Trash Talk during the Pstereo Festival on August 20.

Hello again world! Since we’ve been working almost none stop since the release of “We Get Along Like A House On Fire” about three months ago, we haven’t had the time to make a new website. Until now that is. Welcome to our new digital home.

A lot of exciting things are happening for us at the moment. We are doing festivals during the summer (dates are up now), releasing vinyl and touring central Europe and Norway in the fall (dates to be announced). Busy busy. Keep checking back for updates.

And as we always say in our hometown Nord-Norge: Det e langt igjen til toppen, men æ gjer mæ nu fan.
